    SUPERYACHT IN TENERIFE

A superyacht in Tenerife is not unusual, as the largest of the Canary Islands is strategically located at the crossroads of maritime routes between Europe, Africa, and America. Thus, the world’s wealthiest can enjoy a brief respite on an island rich in attractions and entertainment.

The port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is currently hosting the superyacht Kenshō, regarded as the best yacht in the world. The vessel, measuring 75 meters in length and sailing under the flag of the Cayman Islands, will remain on the island until March 20, after which it will set course for Gibraltar.

The superyacht Kenshō is owned by the German billionaire Udo Mueller, CEO and largest shareholder of Ströer SE & Co. KGaA, a leading advertising company based in Cologne, Germany.

    Owner played a significant role

The name Kenshō derives from the Japanese term meaning “in harmony with nature.” The yacht stands out due to its cutting-edge design and luxurious amenities. Its reflective turquoise steel hull and organic, flowing structural lines turn this yacht into a floating piece of art.

The exterior of the Kenshō resulted from a collaboration between Azure Yacht Design and archineers.berlin, while the interior design was created by the French studio Jouin Manku. The owner also actively participated in the design process, influencing both the yacht’s interior and exterior.

    Marble from Carrara

The vessel features four decks with extensive relaxation areas, complete with sun loungers and tables, ideal for soaking up the sun and panoramic views. The streamlined aluminum superstructure is complemented by details in teak wood and glass on the main deck, offering warmth and style.

The interior of Kenshō exudes luxury and sophistication. Designer Sanjit Manku created inviting spaces using premium materials such as walnut wood, marble, and onyx, further enhanced by contemporary artworks and unique sculptures.

The yacht accommodates up to 16 guests in 8 luxurious suites, each with private bathrooms. The master suite, located forward on the upper deck, features a living room, private office, and direct access to a terrace with a jacuzzi. Equally remarkable is the expansive owner’s suite, comprising four interconnected rooms in a Japanese style and an impressive bathtub carved from a single block of Carrara marble.

    Exclusive

The Kenshō is equipped with a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system, enabling a cruising speed of 13.6 knots and a maximum speed of 15.4 knots. The yacht also provides accommodation for a crew of up to 20, ensuring first-class service on board.

The arrival of the Kenshō in Santa Cruz de Tenerife offers a unique opportunity to admire one of the world’s most exclusive and luxurious yachts up close before it sails on to Gibraltar on March 20.

The presence of this prestigious superyacht once again highlights Tenerife’s appeal as an exclusive destination for luxury tourism and enhances the island’s international reputation.

I have always given Tenerife a central place and have managed to weave the island into my texts within my editorial and journalistic network. The island, which I have been in love with for decades, has seduced me into writing three books, several reading pamphlets, and thousands of articles, columns, and prose. Information and news are the products, pen and paper are the tools, while engagement is the glue. I want to share the result with everyone. I had to discover it first, then I could articulate it because we are tied to our origins by a thousand threads. Not me..., I was just born in the wrong place. © All works are copyrighted.
