Tenerife is preparing for one of the most important music events of the year. On March 12, 2026, the thirtieth edition of the Premios Dial will take place at the Recinto Ferial in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a gala entirely dedicated to the best Spanish-language pop music. Every year the event brings major artists to the island and attracts both national and international attention.
The Premios Dial have now existed for three decades and have become a well-established fixture in the Spanish music industry. During this anniversary edition, more than twenty well-known artists will perform on the same stage. Among the names confirmed this year are Luis Fonsi, Pablo Alborán, Laura Pausini, Luz Casal, Ana Torroja, Amaral, Marta Sánchez and Pablo López. The gala evening will be presented by singer Leire Martínez.
The organisers once again expect a full venue and a large international audience. The Premios Dial are traditionally broadcast on radio and television, which means Tenerife receives considerable media attention during that week. For the island, this represents not only a cultural event but also an important boost for tourism promotion.
Music week in Tenerife
The gala evening will be the highlight of an entire music week on Tenerife. Several additional events are organised around the awards ceremony, including performances, artist meet-and-greets and special concerts taking place across the island.
One of the activities receiving considerable attention is the so-called “Escenario Dial”, an exclusive concert that forms part of the celebrations surrounding the anniversary of the awards. During this intimate show, the well-known Puerto Rican singer Kany García will perform for a limited audience. The concert will take place on March 10 at a still undisclosed location on Tenerife.
The organisers have chosen a special format: only a small number of fans will be able to attend the performance. Interested participants must personally collect an invitation at Radio Club Tenerife, after which the selected guests will be transported by bus to the concert venue. The idea behind this concept is to offer fans a unique and exclusive musical experience.
Tenerife as a centre of Spanish-language pop
The fact that the Premios Dial have been held on Tenerife for many years is no coincidence. The island has developed into an important meeting point for artists from Spain and Latin America. Thanks to its mild climate and excellent infrastructure, Tenerife has become an attractive location for large-scale events.
The event also has a positive impact on the local economy. During the week of the Premios Dial, hotels, restaurants and shops receive additional visitors. Many fans travel specifically to the island to see their favourite artists perform live.
