Carnival in Southern Tenerife takes center stage once the capital has closed its grand festivities.
Now, Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Américas are the place to be if you enjoy parades and processions, competitions and elections, galas and shows, dance and music… in short, everything related to Carnival. Two weeks before the start of the carnival celebrations in the south of Tenerife, the official program was presented by local politicians at the Hard Rock Café in Playa de Las Américas.
The Los Cristianos Carnival is one of the most vibrant events in the south of Tenerife. This year’s theme is Venezuela, ensuring a colorful and rhythmic atmosphere throughout the festivities. All carnival-related activities are free and open to the public.
The Los Cristianos International Carnival, Arona 2025, begins on Thursday, March 20, and runs until March 31—twelve days packed with colorful and lively activities that will appeal to both residents and tourists.

Thursday, March 20
8:30 PM – Presentation of the candidates for Children’s Queen, Senior Queen, and Carnival Queen at the Infanta Leonor Auditorium in Los Cristianos.
Friday, March 21
9:00 PM – Carnival Troops Competition at the Carnival Grounds, opposite the Valdés Center in Los Cristianos.
Saturday, March 22
12:00 PM – Opening of the Carnival Exhibition by Laly González at the Cultural Center of Los Cristianos.
6:00 PM – Wig Party at the Carnival Grounds.
7:00 PM – Carnival Parade through Playa de Las Américas, from CC Gala on Av. Rafael Puig Lluvina to CC Oasis on Av. Las Américas.
9:00 PM – Musical tribute to Tina Turner at the Carnival Grounds.
10:00 PM – Pelucan Party at the Carnival Grounds.

6:00 PM – Murgas Gathering at the Carnival Grounds, opposite the Valdés Center in Los Cristianos.
Monday, March 24
6:30 PM – Choreographic Groups Festival at the Carnival Grounds, opposite the Valdés Center in Los Cristianos.

8:00 PM – Senior Queen Election Gala at the Carnival Grounds, opposite the Valdés Center in Los Cristianos.
Wednesday, March 26
8:00 PM – Children’s Queen Election Gala at the Carnival Grounds, opposite the Valdés Center in Los Cristianos.
Thursday, March 27
8:30 PM – Grand Gala for the Election of the Carnival Queen at the Carnival Grounds, opposite the Valdés Center in Los Cristianos.
Friday, March 28
6:00 PM – Dance for the Elderly at the Carnival Grounds.
8:30 PM – Drag Queen Show at the Carnival Grounds.
12:00 AM – Grand Dance Party and DJ Session at the Carnival Grounds.
