Calendar 2025 in Tenerife is presented by the Carrera por la Vida Foundation, led by Belgian Brigitte Gypen.
Carrera por la Vida, which has been active for nineteen years, develops projects in the Canary Islands to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. Additionally, Carrera por la Vida serves as a platform to meet the needs and desires of those affected by providing therapeutic clothing, organizing activities and training workshops, funding research projects, and collaborating with other associations.

For 19 years, the Fundación Carrera por la Vida has been dedicated to organizing awareness actions on the importance of early detection of breast cancer, aiming to support the needs of affected individuals and their families. The Foundation also supports projects that promote research for better diagnosis and treatment.
This year’s theme for the 2025 calendar is ‘Moda por La Vida – Fashion for Life.’ The vibrant calendar is created in collaboration with designers, makeup artists, hairdressers, stylists, and photographers who have visually captured twelve stories of breast cancer and life.

Gala and Awards Ceremony
On the occasion of World Breast Cancer Day, the Fundación Carrera por la Vida recently held its second gala and awards ceremony. More than 600 people gathered at the Auditorio Infanta Leonor in Arona to participate in an event that provided an overview of the foundation’s activities over the past year.
Institutions, companies, organizations, and individuals who support the foundation’s projects and are committed to socially responsible actions to improve the quality of life for people with breast cancer were recognized.
Brigitte Gypen, president of the Fundación Carrera por la Vida, visibly moved, thanked everyone who supports the foundation. She also announced the launch of two new projects: ‘Impulso Rosa,’ which promotes physical activity, and ‘Mente Rosa,’ offering free psychological support to patients and their families. In the presence of regional, island, and local authorities, the president called for more public budgets and resources for cancer research in the Canary Islands: “We can achieve a complete cure for cancer, but only if enough research is conducted,” said Brigitte Gypen.
